How does Recall work?
Capture a thought, a photo, or a voice note. Recall reads it and suggests a task, a date, or a person. Open the note and tap to add it to Reminders, Calendar, or Contacts. You confirm each time.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Open the app and start writing.
Does it need Apple Intelligence?
The note reading uses Apple Intelligence, so it needs an iPhone that supports it, with the feature turned on in Settings. Capturing notes and everything else works either way. If Apple Intelligence is off, turn it on in Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri, and Recall will read your notes from then on.
Where is my data?
On your iPhone. If iCloud is on, your notes sync across your own devices through your private iCloud. Recall keeps no server of its own, and we cannot see your notes. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I add a reminder, event, or contact?
Open a note, then tap the Add button next to a detected item. The first time, iOS asks for permission to Reminders or Calendar. Nothing is added until you tap.
If I delete a note, does its reminder go too?
You choose. When you delete a note that created reminders or events, Recall asks whether to delete just the note, or the note together with the items it added. Contacts are never removed automatically.
It read a date wrong. What can I do?
Open the note and tap Re-analyse, or edit the text and save. Recall reads dates against the day you wrote the note, so “tomorrow” means the day after you captured it.
Is Recall free?
The on-device version is free. If we add optional premium features later, they will be clearly marked, and the free version will keep working. [CONFIRM PRICING BEFORE LAUNCH]
